Revisting Thankfulness.
I find it important to remind myself of what i'm thankful for and keeping track of the mental changes I'm made has proven to help me. The simple things don't change. My family, basic needs fulfilled, my friends and emotional support, the amazing dinner my mother prepared for all of us on the table. I know those will all be constant, if not even more cherished as the years go by.
This year i'm thankful for a few new things. I'm thankful for those metaphorical slaps on the hand when I was too sucked into my day jobs instead of working on my craft. I'm thankful for my friends who supported decisions i've made that seemed silly or reckless. I'm thankful for the hard moments I experienced that made me rethink my value to myself as a creator and budding entrepreneur. I'm thankful for all the moments that made me feel in touch again with the inspiring creative community I used to have so close, but now are far away.
Last year I was excited for all the new opportunities I had waiting for me.
This year I'm thankful for all of life's little lessons and tools I now have packed my in bag for the journey, with plenty of room for more. It's time to really get to work.
I hope you all had an absolutely wonderful, food coma inducing Thanksgiving with your loved ones!
